Sole TT9 Light Commercial Treadmill Review

Overview

UPDATE: It looks like the TT9 has been discontinued. Check out the comparable Sole TT8 and see if that one has what you are looking for.

The Sole TT9 is the newest treadmill in the company’s lineup, an even more commercial grade version of their popular TT8 model. This beast of a machine is built to handle the toughest workouts for years on end, and features Sole’s very first touch screen display.

With a powerful motor, incline and decline, 450 lb. max weight capacity and commercial deck, this one might just give Life Fitness, Matrix and the other club-quality brands a run for their money.

Sole TT9 - Best Features

Incline/Decline Capability

Just like its little brother, the Sole TT8, the TT9 offers both incline and decline capability, a rare feature even among the commercial brands.

You can choose from 15 levels of incline and 6 levels of decline, so you can really target different muscle groups in the legs and also ramp up your cardio training at the same time.

Very few residential treadmills give you decline capability.

Most Powerful Motor

Unlike most other treadmills that feature a DC motor, the new Sole TT9 has an AC motor, typically only found on high end commercial treadmill.

The 4.0 CHP AC motor is built to handle intense workouts by multiple users, and also requires less maintenance and is more reliable than DC motors.

There are separate motors for the incline and decline functions as well.

Large Cushioned Runners Deck

The Sole TT9 offers one of the largest running decks on the market, at 22″ wide and 60″ long.

This gives you plenty of space to stretch out, even if you are on the taller side. The deck also features large 3.0″ rollers and commercial grade cushioning that reduces impact on your joints significantly.

Brand New Touch Display

The TT9 is the only Sole treadmill that has a touch screen display, perhaps the only thing that’s been missing from the company’s arsenal. This will definitely help them compete better with NordicTrack and ProForm, who have had touch screens on their higher end treadmills and elliptical trainers for years.

The large 10″ touch screen displays all of your workout information in an easy to read fashion, and allows you to browse the internet, watch videos and check your social pages as well.

You can also track your workouts via Bluetooth and sync them with your favorite fitness apps.

Heart Rate Monitoring

Sole has always focused on cardio, and all of their treadmills including the TT9 have both grip and wireless heart rate monitoring.

There are specific heart rate control programs built in, along with distance, time and interval training,

Other Great Features

In addition to all of the special features above, you get cooling fans, a built in sound system and one of the best warranties in the industry: lifetime coverage on the frame, motor and deck, 6 years on electronics and 3 years in home labor.

You simply won’t find a stronger warranty on any home treadmill that you buy.
