Horizon Treadmill Reviews – A Look at the Current Models
There are currently six treadmills in Horizon’s lineup, starting with the very popular T101 and ending with the top of the line 7.8 AT. As you move up you get more features and capabilities, so it’s a matter of choosing the one that has what you are looking for.
Horizon Go Series Treadmills
T101
This is the entry level model and one of their biggest sellers due its combination of features and low price.
It has a 20″ x 55″ deck, up to 10 mph speed, 10% incline capability, a 2.25 CHP motor, 4.5″ LCD display, easy folding and five built in workout programs to choose from. The T101 has a 300 lb. max weight capacity.
T202
One of the newer treadmills in the lineup, the T202 improves upon the T101 with a larger deck: 20″ x 60″, incline up to 12% and Bluetooth workout syncing.
T303
Released as a late 2019/early 2020 model, the T303 improves upon the T202 with a stronger motor, more incline and more workout programs.
Horizon Studio Series Treadmills
7.0 AT
Released at the same time as the new T202, this is the base model in the series.
The new 7.0 AT jumps up to 15% incline with a 3.0 CHP motor and higher 325 lb. max weight capacity, among other upgraded features that separate it from the GO Series treadmills.
Moving up you have the the mid-range 7.4 AT, which adds a more spacious 22″ x 60″ XL deck, stronger 3.5 CHP motor, 350 lb. max weight capacity and Bluetooth chest strap for wireless heart rate monitoring.
At the top end you have the 7.8 AT, with a 4.0 CHP motor, 375 lb. max weight capacity, aluminum side rails and media controls.

Horizon Adventure Series Treadmills
Adventure 3
The Adventure 3 is a step up from the T101, giving you a little more of everything.
It has up to 12 mph speed, 12% incline capability, a 2.5 CHP motor, a 5.75″ display, plus ViaFit workout tracking and Passport HD videos not available on the T101.
Horizon Elite Series Treadmills
Elite T5
The Elite series is another step up from the Adventure Series, built for more performance and better suited for runners.
The Elite T5 gives you everything the Adventure 3 has plus a stronger 2.75 CHP motor, up to 15% incline, larger 8.5″ blue backlit LCD, a whopping 38 built in workout programs and a higher 350 lb. maximum user weight capacity.
Elite T7
The main attraction of the T7 is its longer 20″ x 60″ deck, as opposed to the 20″ x 55″ on the other treadmills.
It has all of the features of the Elite T5 plus a stronger 3.0 CHP motor, USB port and even more workouts for a total of 42.
Elite T9
The top of the line Elite T9 is the most advanced machine in the lineup, with the largest 22″ x 60″ deck, strongest 3.25 CHP motor, aluminum side rails and Bluetooth capability, as well as the most comprehensive warranty in the lineup.
All of the Horizon treadmills are well built and ergonomically designed, with well-cushioned decks that minimize impact on the knees and joints as much as possible.

Why are Horizon Treadmills So Popular?
The main appeal of the Horizon brand is the quality and the value. They compete head to head with NordicTrack, ProForm and Sole, giving you some of the best features of both.
Horizon treadmills have a lot of the extras that NordicTrack is known for providing, while delivering the quality that is a hallmark of the Sole brand. You get the workouts, the fan, the speakers along with the solid construction, advanced cushioning and strong, durable motors…the best of both worlds.
Another major draw is the price, as even the high end 7.8 AT with all of its advanced features is under $2,000. And the entry level T101 is under $700, which is unheard of for a treadmill with this much capability.
Warranties are also top notch, and all of the Horizon treadmills have extensive coverage despite their low price tags. This is a good indication of the quality that you are receiving.
Which Horizon Treadmill Should You Buy?
The lineup is very small, so it’s easier to choose a model than it is for some of the other brands where there are a dozen treadmills to choose from.
It really comes down to what you are looking for. If you are more of a walker, or just looking for a basic treadmill for light use, the T101 is a fantastic choice. It gives you everything you need for a solid workout and is one of the best values on the market.
If you want something more advanced, consider the T202 and T303, which gives you more incline, speed, deck size as well as the ability to track and share your workouts.
