Folding Treadmills
If you want a treadmill that folds, you have two options: the F1 Smart and the popular Life Fitness F3. The F1 is the entry level model. It’s compact in size as well, and is a great choice for beginners.
The F3 is a step up model with two console choices, a stronger motor, heavier max weight capacity and a tablet rack. Otherwise, it is very similar to the F1.
Non-Folding
The rest of the Life Fitness treadmills are non-folding, and there are a lot of options here.
The T3 is priced the same as the F3, but adds a slightly longer deck. So if you want a bit more room to spread out, the T3 is a good choice.
Even better is the popular T5, with an even longer and wider deck, enhanced cushioning and the ability to “remember” your workouts. It also has the heaviest max user weight capacity at 400 lbs.
Similar to the T5 spec wise is the newest Life Fitness treadmill, the Run CX. It’s more affordable and more modern, so that’s a good choice if you want a commercial grade treadmill without the hefty price tag.
If you want something that is more like what you find in the gym, there’s the Club Series, the new Club Series + and the Platinum Club Series.
The Club Series + is one of the newest models, and our favorite of the three. You get 15% incline, a large 22″ x 60″ deck, and a nice assortment of built in workouts. It’s the most advanced of the Club treadmills in terms of design and technology.
All Life Fitness treadmills come with the patented FlexDeck Shock Absorption cushion system, which reduces impact on knees and joints up to 30%. The belts are of the highest quality and virtually maintenance free.

Keep in mind that the lowest priced model in the series is the F1 Smart at around $2,199, and the price increases as you move up in the lineup.
The highest priced model is the Platinum Club, which can cost up to $8,999 with the advanced console.
So these are definitely high-end machines. But if you have the budget for it, you really can’t go wrong with a Life Fitness treadmill.
Most users will be just fine with one of the F folding series or T non-folding models, but if you want something even more commercial-grade, look at the Club Series Life Fitness treadmills.
There’s rumors that the base model might be discontinued, so the Plus is going to be your best option there. The Platinum is just to expensive in our opinion to be worth it.
