NordicTrack X22i - Best Features
Huge Vibrant Display
Of course it is all about the workout. But we had to start off with mention of the new 22″ Smart HD Touch Screen Display.
It is one of the largest screens we have ever seen on a treadmill, besides the 32″ screen on the X32i, and the picture is crystal clear and vibrant.
It offers all of the relevant workout stats, and you can go online or tap into the endless workouts of iFit technology, including Google maps putting you anywhere in the world you choose to train.
Seeing it unfold right in from of you on such a large screen is a real treat.
Incline/Decline Capability
One of the most attractive features of the NordicTrack X22i is the fact that it not only inclines up to 40%, but also declines up to -6%.

With this flexibility you can really target all the different muscle groups in your legs, giving you an extremely challenging workout. Not to mention the huge amount of calories that you burn at the highest incline levels.
Note that both Incline Trainers now offer the same -6% decline.
Advanced Cushioning
The NordicTrack X22i has the unique Reflex cushioning system, which is more advanced than you find on other NordicTrack treadmills.
It provides the ideal amount of cushioning and support where you need it, helping to keep you in the ideal position and minimizing impact on your knees and joints.
iFit Technology
As we mention above, the X22i is equipped with the latest version of ICON Fitness’ popular program, iFit.
Choose from a library of customized workouts and work out anywhere in the world with Google maps. You can watch daily videos, get meal programs to help you reach your weight loss goals and work out right in the gym with actual classes led by top trainers.
There is a monthly subscription fee, but it’s well worth it for all of the features you are getting.
(Note that they often give you one year for free as part of the purchase price)
Other Great Features
The X22i Incline Trainer also has a powerful 4.0 CHP motor, a generously sized 22″ x 60″ deck, Bluetooth technology, a music port, grip heart rate monitoring, easy assembly, dual AutoBreeze fans as well as a very generous warranty.

Can the screen connect to internet?
What size are the belt rollers?
Yes, the NordicTrack X22i has a Smart HD touch display that is internet ready. So you can watch videos, search, post to social networks, etc. The belt rollers are 2.5″. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Are there programs that automatically adjust to keep heart rate in range?
Which of the incline trainers have hdmi output?
You say it is internet ready? I currently have one and I can see no way that you can use it for that? What am I missing?
Hey Marcus,
All of the NordicTrack Incline Trainers were upgraded for 2019 and they have internet access for the iFit Coach program and all of the on board workouts but they don’t currently have search or other app capability. It’s probably to encourage you to try out the iFit program, which offers you a ton of workouts, Google maps, nutrition recommendations, tracking capability, etc.
You can always use your tablet if you want to go online, or if you have a Smart TV in your workout area that’s an option as well.

I don’t think any of the incline trainers currently have an HDMI output. The older version of the X15i did I believe, but the newer Commercial X15i does not have one.
Yes you can access those workouts via the iFit Coach program, along with a huge library of additional personal trainer led workouts.
Can you connect the touch screen on the xxi pro to Netflix or direct tv?
Hey Kristen. What do you mean by the XXI Pro?
I’m fairly tall 6”1 and I’ve always ran far back on treadmills , towards the back edge, and I’m concerned the deck will be too short for me . Hope I’m wrong because I like everything else about this treadmill. Do u think I should avoid incline tread for this reason?
Hello, seriously considering buying the X22i treadmill. After using the program free for a year, are you obligated to purchase the monthly subscription?
Is this treadmill stable when you use the incline? I have been on several home treadmills that only go up to a 15% incline and the treadmill rocks back and forth? Also what is the difference between this treadmill and the x11i?
I have the commercial x11i treadmill and its just prompted me that my battery is low i dnt know what to do… my treadmill is plug in and its on so im confused where and why is the battery is low. Please give me some idea what to do. Thank you
How much is the gross weight of the treadmill? I can only find the max user weight. I would have to transport the treadmill up stairs if I bought one.
How easy/often will the motor breaks with the incline max 40%?
Yes it is quite stable when you use the incline, even on the highest levels. The build quality has improved tremendously. The only real difference between the NordicTrack X11i and the X22i is the size of the touch screen. Note that the X11i was recently discontinued, leaving the X22i and the X32i only.
You are not obligated to purchase a monthly or yearly iFit subscription once the free year (or free month) is done. A lot of people do but you can just use the machine without it. There are built in workouts that you can do or you can use your own separate fitness app if you prefer.
It should be just fine. We have several tall users here and none have had any issues with the NordicTrack X22i.
