Many of you wonder which is the perfect way to start your own treadmill training routine. Everyone is a beginner at one point and we know how it is to feel a little confused and not know where to start.
The workouts for beginners should focus on making the walking/running a pleasant experience. These first exercises must convince you that the treadmill is not a boring machine and that the time spent on it will be enjoyable.
Secondly, the workouts must help you develop a correct posture and moves. This is a very important aspect and if you don’t learn how to move correctly you could suffer from serious health problems.
At this stage a solution can be video workouts. You may consider buying a DVD and follow a professional trainer’s advice. These DVDs allow you to get the same benefit as you would receive from an instructor, so if you’re new at this we strongly recommend them.

Workout For Beginners
– Start with a warm up session.
– Begin the workout which should take from 20 to 45 minutes (depending on your strength). Make sure you measure your heart rate and you keep it somewhere around 65-85% of your maximum heart rate. What it’s under 65% is too slow and what it’s over 85 % is too hard.
– End with a 10 minute cool down session.
You can do this workout for the first 2 weeks, until you get used to the treadmill and prepare your body for some serious running sessions.
